- Well I checked at Psygnosis's page and the CD32 version of Microcosm
- does use the Akiko chip if it's available if not the CPU does the chunky to planar
- conversions (ala A1200)
- And yes you can play mpeg without an Mpeg board. All the MPEG board does
- is speed up the conversion much much faster for 30 fps video full screen.
- Why do you think their are software MPEG players for machines like the
- A2000 which absolutely don't have an MPEG card.

- Oh yeah to my other responders...The video clips in Microcosm are CDXL
- format. I played a couple on my A2000 WB3.1 bad sychronization though
- on the mouth/voice weather played on the CD32 or my 030-50mhz A2000
- Looks like they took the PC versions fli or avi file and converted it to CDXL
- laterzzzzz.
